Motorola Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, Moto E5 Plus, and Moto E5 Play announced: Here are the Specifications, Pricing, and Availability

Last month, Motorola confirmed that new Moto phones would be launched in April with a change in leadership. At an event in Brazil on Thursday, it officially announced the Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, Moto E5 Plus, and Moto E5 Play.

The Moto G6 is the successor to the Moto G5S. The Moto E5 Plus and the Moto E5 Play are the successors to the Moto E4 Plus and the Moto E4 respectively. Let’s take a deeper look into all four devices:

The Moto G6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, which has the Adreno 506 GPU. It has 3GB/4GB of RAM paired with 32GB/64GB of storage. It has a 5.7-inch Full HD+ (2160×1080) MaxVision IPS LCD. There is a 12MP + 5MP dual rear camera setup, and on the front there is an 8MP camera.

The phone has a water-repellent p2i coating, and the usual connectivity options. It has a 3000mAh battery with 15W TurboPower Charging support, and it ships with Android 8.0 Oreo.

The Moto G6 Play is a lower-end variant of the Moto G6. It downgrades the SoC to the Snapdragon 427, which has four ARM Cortex-A53 cores and the Adreno 308 GPU. It has 2GB/3GB of RAM paired with 16GB/32GB of storage, along with a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB expandable storage.

It has a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440×720) MaxVision IPS LCD, and a 13MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF), and an f/2.0 aperture. It also has an 8MP front-facing camera with front-facing flash. It’s powered by a bigger 4000mAh battery with 10W charging. It has the same water-repellent p2i coating as the Moto G6, and ships with Android 8.0 Oreo.

The Moto G6 Play will go on sale in the US and Canada starting this spring at major carriers. It will cost $199.

The Moto E5 Plus’s differentiating feature is the inclusion of a massive 5000mAh battery with TurboPower fast charging support. The phone is powered by the octa-core 28nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC, which has the Adreno 505 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage, along with a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB expandable storage.

It has a 5.2-inch HD IPS LCD, and an 8MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um pixels, and LED flash. The camera has slow motion mode, burst shot, auto night mode, and manual mode. The front-facing camera has an 8MP sensor with Selfie Flash/Light.
