Leaked Renders Show Moto G5S Sporting Metal Uni-body in Three Color Options

Lenovo is planning to launch quite a few Moto devices throughout the year. Previously, a leaked presentation slide showed that Lenovo is working on a total of five smartphone lineup, namely, Moto C, Moto E, Moto G, Moto X and Moto Z. Out of which, the company has already launched the Moto C lineup earlier this month while devices such as the Moto X, Moto Z2 Force, and Moto Z2 Play have frequently been leaking throughout the  past few weeks.

Now, we’re getting details about yet another Moto device: the Moto G5S. As per leaked renders obtained by Android Authority, Lenovo is working on a premium version of the Moto G5, purportedly called the Moto G5S. The leaked renders showed off the Moto G5S in three different colors, namely, gray, gold, and blue. As you can see in the images, the device takes the same design language as the Moto G5.

On the front side, the device features a front-mounted fingerprint scanner below the screen. Up top, you can see a front camera sensor, proximity sensor, and earpiece. However, the most noticeable change here is that the device now features a front-facing flash, which should help users capture better selfies even in darker environments.

Moving to the back, the device has the same round camera unit similar to the Moto G5, accompanied by an LED flash. As per the report, the device will sport an all-metal design, unlike the Moto G5’s aluminum back and plastic sides. Additionally, the device also features thin antenna lines on top and bott0m of the back to facilitate signal transmission.

According to a leaked presentation slide which surfaced earlier, the Moto G5S will feature a 5.2-inch full HD display. The slide also revealed there will be a Plus variant of the Moto G5S. The Moto G5S Plus will sport a bigger 5.5-inch full HD display and will also house dual-camera setup on the back. The details regarding availability and pricing are not known at the time being, but considering the device sporting an all-metal design, it could mean the Moto G5S will be a bit more expensive than the current Moto G5.
