Energy Aware Scheduling (EAS) is one of the major improvements added to the mainline kernel shipped with Android Nougat, and recently XDA Senior Member tabp0le has been able to bring this feature to kernels based off of the LineageOS source for the HTC 10. The source is available for other kernel developers to merge, and for regular users the developer has also created an enhanced version of his kernel with additional features.
