Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Features

Powered by the efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 system-on-chip, battery life is a priority of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3. The large display and large battery trend are present following the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. We’ve heard rumors about this particular device since December of last year. With a huge amount of storage and RAM, the majority of the specifications are enough to put up a fight against current flagships. The addition of a 3.5mm headphone jack coupled with the large screen also ensures that the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will be a great phone for multimedia. With Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support, even if you run out of juice, you shouldn’t have trouble getting a lot of power from a short time charging the Xiaomi Mi Max 3.

The rear camera is composed of a 12MP shooter and a 5MP shooter, while the front camera is an 8MP shooter. And speaking of photography, that’s one of the headlining features of this device’s camera. AI-powered, Xiaomi is touting both a fast facial unlock speed and an always-learning AI camera. Over time it will learn how to blur backgrounds correctly. It can also apparently adapt to 206 different scenes and change how it takes the photo. The device runs Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI and it will offer Xiaomi’s XiaoAI virtual assistant in China, and presumably Google Assistant if it launches in other markets.

In terms of availability, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will go on sale in China this week for CNY 1699 for the 4GB+64GB variant and CNY 1999 for the 6GB+128GB variant. No word on international availability for the Xiaomi Mi Max 3, however. We do expect there to be a MIUI Global ROM for this device, at the very least, based on our own findings from firmware teardowns.
