Samsung Galaxy S10+ may feature five cameras, Exynos 9820, and Mali-G76 GPU

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Samsung Galaxy S9+ only launched this year, but already we’re starting to learn about a successor. According to a report from the South Korean publication The Bell, the Samsung Galaxy S10+ may feature five cameras – two on the front and three on the back. What’s more, known Chinese leaker Ice Universe has posted on Weibo that the Samsung Galaxy S10+ and the Samsung Galaxy S10 will be powered by an Exynos 9820 and a Mali-G76 GPU. Ice Universe also leaked the upgraded S Pen coming to the Samsung Note 9 later this year.

According to the report from The Bell, the first two cameras on the back of the S10+ will be the same setup as the Samsung Galaxy S9+, with the third being an ultra wide angle module. The ultra-wide camera module will apparently be able to view up to 120 degrees. As for the dual camera setup on the front, the only other Samsung device which supports it is the Samsung Galaxy A8. According to the report, there will be three variants of the Samsung Galaxy S10+. One will have triple cameras on the back and dual cameras on the front, one will have a single camera on the front with triple cameras on the back, and the last will have a single camera on the front and dual cameras on the back.

As for specifications, Ice Universe has revealed that the international variants of the Samsung Galaxy S10 and the Samsung Galaxy S10+ will be powered by the Exynos 9820 and a Mali-G76 GPU, the first mobile GPU manufactured on a 7nm fabrication process.  As for the CPU, Ice Universe claims that the Exynos 9820 will feature a 2+2+4 DynamIQ architecture with 2 Exynos M4 big cores, 2 Cortex-A75 (or A76) as the medium cores, and 4 Cortex-A55 little cores.

How this particular Exynos SoC will fare against the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 is yet to be seen. In the past, Exynos has come out on top in terms of processing power and battery life, but Qualcomm turned that around with the Snapdragon 845 this year.
