Motorola’s July Launch Event Invite Features its Shatterproof Displays (Moto Z2 Force)

Exactly one week ago, Motorola started to send out an image to some publications for a launch event that would be taking place on July 25th. At the time, all we knew was that it would be taking place in New York City, the company is using the #hellomotoworld hashtag for it, and that we’d likely see some new hardware shown off at the event. Late last night, another image started showing up in some inboxes that teased the company’s shatterproof displays.

This seems to indicate that Motorola will be unveiling the highly leaked Moto Z2 Force in just 2 short weeks. We first saw this phone leaked all the way back in April of this year when some mock up renders were leaked online. We didn’t learn much about the internal hardware from this leak, but it did show a 3.5mm headphone port which is a feature that many people still want in their phones. Then one month later what looked like an official press render was leaked which corroborated what we saw the month before.

Current rumors seem to indicate that the Moto Z2 Force will have a 5.5″ 1080p display with the company’s shatterproof protection. Then inside, many are expecting it to have Qualcomm’s latest and greatest, the Snapdragon 835 SoC running the show. Other than what has been shown off in the renders (such as 2 rear cameras, fingerprint scanner on the front, Moto Mod support), there just really hasn’t been much information revealed about the upcoming device from Motorola.

So with Motorola sending out this new press invite that says “get ready to shatter your expectations,” it looks like the Moto Z2 Force will be the device unveiled on July 25th in New York City at 11AM Eastern. Some even speculate that we could see some new Moto Mods announced and quite possibly the Moto X4 as well.
