Moto E4 Plus With 5,000 mAh Battery and Android 7.1.1 Launched in India for ₹9,999 ($155)

Originally announced back in last month, today, Motorola launched the second device in its Moto E lineup in India in the form of the Moto E4 Plus. The Moto E4 Plus is a higher-specced version of the Moto E4 which was launched in the country just last month with a price tag of RS. 8,999.

Speaking of the design, the Moto E4 Plus looks a lot a like the mid-ranger Moto G5 with its overall design and round camera module on the back. The back of the device is made out of metal, while also featuring plastic strips on the top and bottom to facilitate signal transmission.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Moto E4 Plus sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720. On the inside of the device is a MediaTek MTK6737M quad-core SoC running at a clock speed of 1.3GHz coupled with Mali-T720 GPU. There is only one variant of the Moto E4 Plus for the Indian market that offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage as the company has decided to forgo the 2GB RAM + 16GB storage variant.

For image capture, the device has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, and an LED flash, while it features a 5MP fixed-focus camera with f/1.7 aperture and front LED flash on the front.

The biggest highlight of the Moto E4 Plus, however, is its whopping 5,000 mAh non-removable battery that also supports fast charging and Motorola claims it can easily get you through 2-days on a single charge even with heavy usage.

The Moto E4 Plus comes running a near-stock version of Android Nougat 7.1.1 out-of-the-box with Motorola’s few useful additions on top.

Elsewhere, the Moto E4 Plus comes with a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 4.1, a Micro-USB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and 4G VoLTE support.

The Moto E4 will be exclusively available from the Indian online retailer Flipkart for a price of RS.9,999 ($155). The device itself will go on sale starting today at 11:59 pm (IST).

To attract potential buyers, Motorola is also offering several launch-day offers. For instance, if you buy a Moto E4 Plus, you can pick up the Moto Pulse 2 headphones for just Rs. 749, a discount of RS. 850 over its original price (RS. 1599). Additionally, the company is also offering users an exchange value of up to RS. 9,000 on trading in their old smartphone.
